When I began illustrating in the early 1980s my imagery was mostly pastel drawings for book covers and magazine content, or if monotone was required, I tended to work in lino-print or scraperboard e.g. (top left) The Poetry of Protest and the Heinemann Educational books. Having acquired Photoshop skills whilst working for six years in the corporate field, more recent black & white works are now created digitally like e.g. top right: 9 images from a series of 36 images commissioned by a card company.
